CT Man Charged With Sexual Assault For Allegedly Touching Police Officer's Breast During Arrest

A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly touching a female police officer's breast while he was being detained for drunk driving.

Hartford County resident Israel Sanchez-Vilchis, age 44, of New Britain, turned himself in to police on Monday, Aug. 29.

According to Sgt. Mark N. Cleverdon, of the South Windsor Police, Sanchez –Vilchis’ charge stems from a previous DUI on Monday, Aug. 15.

During the processing portion of that arrest, Sanchez-Vilchis inappropriately and deliberately touched a female officer’s breast by reaching his fingers underneath the side of her ballistic vest, Cleverdon said.

Sanchez-Vilchis was charged with sexual assault and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
